Cybersecurity is facing an increase in funding with AI security startups driving the change. Every company wants to do what they can to protect their digital assets.

WitnessAI sits at the center of this development by protecting the boundary where humans and machines interact.

Their platform creates a regulatory layer that monitors every prompt and response in real-time. This technology helps enterprises to increase their AI use without the risk of exposing sensitive data or inviting cyberattacks.

WitnessAI recently secured $58M in a new funding round with Sound Ventures leading the investment. Also, Samsung ventures, Qualcomm Ventures and ForgePoint Capital Partners participated in the funding round. This capital enables WitnessAI to build safer environments for global businesses and turn AI security into a competitive advantage.

Bridging the Gap: How WitnessAI Secures the Enterprise AI Workload

WitnessAI uses an “agentless” approach to help enterprises protect their AI workload. This system works directly at the network level and companies don’t need to install software on every laptop or phone.

The platform protects businesses through three main actions:

    • Visibility: It detects ShadowAI by finding unapproved tools that employees are using.
    • Protection: It blocks malicious prompts that try to trick AI systems
    • Policy: It prevents data leakage by stopping personal information and company codes from reaching public models.

This funding provides WitnessAI with the opportunity to replace old, manual security systems. They offer a single automated AI firewall that scales as fast as the AI it protects.

Scaling Autonomy: The Future of Cybersecurity and AI Agents

The next phase for cybersecurity and AI is autonomous agents. Unlike OpenAI and Google chatbots, the systems do more than chat. They can change data, take action and contact other programs.

This development brings massive power but it is also a huge target for hackers. WitnessAI developed a specific program to keep these autonomous agents in check.

Their “Agentic Security” monitors both human intent and AI response. It ensures an AI agent never performs an unauthorized task. This prevents rogue agents from deleting files or leaking credentials.

Furthermore, as a result of their “Agentic Security”, WitnessAI reported a 500% increase in revenue over the past year. They will use the $58M to  expand their team and penetrate new global markets. They also plan to bring security to devices like mobile phones to ensure that AI behaves wherever it runs.

From Risk Management to Business Acceleration

WitnessAI’s successful raise proved that proper security is what drives AI adoption. Companies don’t view security as an obstacle, instead they see it as a catalyst for faster innovation. The market now favours security that offers total automation and self-healing capabilities.

By securing the enterprise AI workload, WitnessAI provides the necessary anchors for the current digital age. They allow organizations to move from testing AI to fully integrating it. WitnessAI has eliminated the fear of the unknown and built a safer path for the future of work globally.
