Samsung to Unveil AI-powered Galaxy S26 on February 25 Unpacked Event

Samsung has officially confirmed that its next flagship smartphone lineup, the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, will be revealed at Galaxy Unpacked on February 25, 2026.

The event will be taking place in San Francisco, California, beginning at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET), with a live stream available on Samsung’s website, YouTube channel, and the Samsung Newsroom.

Galaxy AI sits at the center of the announcement, with Samsung describing that the new phones were built to make intelligence personal and adaptive.

    Samsung’s Focus on Artificial Intelligence

Samsung’s official event announcement makes clear that Galaxy AI will drive the narrative at Unpacked. The company says this lineup will mark “a new phase in the era of AI as intelligence becomes truly personal and adaptive,” ultimately framing the Galaxy S26 series as phones where artificial intelligence is baked into the everyday experience rather than offered as an extension feature or an accessory.

Among the rumored expected AI additions is agentic AI, a capability that lets the phone take multi-step actions on a user’s behalf across apps without requiring manual input at each stage. Samsung is also expected to introduce a revamped version of its Bixby voice assistant with deeper smart features, as well as a Perplexity AI integration that would give users an alternative to Google Gemini for search and on-device queries.

The Galaxy S26 and S26+ will ship with Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2600 chip in Europe, Asia, Africa, and South Korea, while US, Canadian, and Chinese buyers will receive a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 version. The Galaxy S26 Ultra takes a different approach with it running on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 worldwide, with no Exynos variant for that model.

It is important to note that the Exynos 2600 is Samsung’s first chip built on a 2nm manufacturing process and its most capable in-house processor to date.

Hardware Specs Across the Three Models

All three models are reported to run on One UI 8.5 and come with at least 12GB of RAM, 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays with Gorilla Armor 2 protection, and the same Galaxy AI feature set. The base Galaxy S26 gets the most meaningful upgrade of the trio in terms of hardware, with a slightly larger 6.3-inch screen and a 4,300mAh battery, 300mAh more than its predecessor. The S26+ carries a 6.7-inch display with 2K resolution and a 4,900mAh battery with 45W wired charging.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra also steps up to a 6.9-inch screen, 5,000mAh battery, and 60W wired fast charging, an upgrade from last year. Its rear camera system includes a 200MP main shooter, a 50MP ultrawide, a 50MP periscope telephoto, and a 10MP 3x optical zoom lens. The Ultra is also available with 16GB of RAM on the 1TB storage configuration.

What Else Is Expected at Unpacked

Beyond the three smartphones, Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro at the same event. Based on leaks, the new earbuds will feature a redesigned form factor, support for head gestures, and an Ultra Wideband chip that allows them to be tracked through Google’s Find Hub network.

However, there is no confirmed indication that Samsung will announce a Galaxy S26 Edge variant at this event, following underwhelming sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge.
