Google has launched the ‘Google Market Access Program’, a strategic initiative aimed at helping Indian AI startups expand globally through the tech giant’s huge distribution network and access to important international markets.
The initiative was announced at the Google AI Startups Conclave held on the 15th of January 2026.
A New Chapter in Tech Expansion: Bridging the “Commercial Last Mile”
Google said the initiative is designed to support startups at the critical scale-up stage, where access and credibility often determine long-term success. The Indian startups that are a part of this program will also have complete access to Google’s latest AI models like the Gemini models for critical reasoning and the Gemma models for comprehensive research.
Furthermore, Google has facilitated the program to support participants with:
- Enterprise readiness through a specialized curriculum on global enterprise selling, complex pricing models and international buyer psychology.
- A global network through direct, facilitated introductions to relevant members of Google’s global network of CIOs and CXOs.
- Global immersion in partnership with ecosystem leaders like TiE Silicon Valley and Alteus to establish meaningful in-person relationships in key buyer markets and international tech hubs.
Scaling Indian Startups Through Global Access and Infrastructure
Beyond networking, Google offers huge technical funding to ensure these startups can scale globally. The company integrated its $15B investment in Indian AI startups directly into the program. Specifically, startups use the 1-gigawatt AI hub in Visakhapatnam to process massive datasets and train sophisticated models.
Google also provides early access to specialized AI tools like “MedGemma1.5” and “FunctionGemma”. The models allow developers to build low-latency, “Bharat-tested” applications that perform reliably in any environment. As a result, these startups are able to lead the tech expansion with high performance and product ready solutions.
Ultimately, the Google market access program is more than just mentorship. It provides the startups with high-impact revenue opportunities and world class compute power. This strategic move ensures the next generation of global technology bears a “Made in India” stamp.
