Samsung Electronics’ unveiling of three new AI-powered models in the popular Galaxy A series – Galaxy A56 5G, Galaxy A36 5G, and Galaxy A26 5G – highlights a significant introduction of AI integration and cutting-edge features while maintaining affordability, which aligns with the company’s mission to democratize advanced technology. This comes after the release of Apple’s AI-infused and budget-friendly iPhone 16e into the market.

The new AI-powered smartphones come with advanced camera features, enhanced durability, well-rounded security and privacy protections, as well as the introduction of Awesome Intelligence – “the first comprehensive mobile AI experience available on the Galaxy A series and brings users powerful, fun, and easy-to-use AI tools,” according to Samsung.

Awesome Intelligence seems to introduce an even better version of Google’s Circle to Search feature. This feature will allow users to get more done right from the phone’s screen. With the latest version, one can expect a quick recognition of phone numbers, email addresses, and URLs on the screen so users can have a fast and seamless way of getting information.

The Awesome Intelligence feature also comes with a great camera experience in the new AI-powered Galaxy A series. It comes with a powerful triple-camera system that features a 50MP main lens on all devices, and 10-bit HDR front lens recording on A56 and A36 for clean selfies. “The entire Galaxy A series empowers creativity in new and exciting ways through intelligent visual editing,” adds Samsung in their unveiling announcement.

Here are the other AI-powered features and its availability:

    1. Photo Remaster: AI-powered enhancement of photos that improves resolution, reduces motion blur, and makes low-quality images look better. It is available on all models.
    2. Object Eraser: The AI removes unwanted objects, people, or distractions from your pictures. It simplifies picture editing and allows anyone to clean up images without professional tools. It is available on all models.
    3. AI select: Suggests actions based on screen content, such as calling a number or navigating to a location. It saves time and effort by streamlining tasks and predicting what you might want to do next. It is available on all models.
    4. Custom Filters: It lets you create personalized photo filters with AI assistance, and it gives you creative control to develop a unique photo style – the AI learns from your editing style or a photo you choose, then it builds a filter you can apply to other images. It is available on all models.
    5. Read Aloud: Converts on-screen text to speech where it reads it out loud – accessibility for visually impaired users or anyone who prefers listening over reading. It uses text-to-speech technology to vocalize text from articles or messages. It is available on all models.
    6. Nightography Enhancements: Improves Low Noise Mode on selfie camera, and a wide camera low-light support. The AI reduces noise and enhances details in dim conditions. It is available on only A56.
    7. Best Face: Ensures everyone looks great in group photos by picking the best expressions. Before taking a picture, it records a short video (motion photo). The AI then analyzes the frames to select the best moment for each person, and finally combines them into one perfect shot. It is available on only A56.
    8. Edit Suggestions: It acts like a personal assistant and uses AI-generated tips to help you refine content – whether you’re writing a note or editing a picture. It is available on all models.

The pricing of the recently unveiled models which proves its affordability goes thus:

    • Galaxy A56 5G is priced at $499.99
    • Galaxy A36 5G is priced at $399.99
    • Galaxy A26 5G is priced at $299.99

It is noteworthy that Samsung uses these models to reinforce their software longevity, where there’s up to six generations of Android OS, One UI upgrades, as well as six years of security updates. “These updates add additional support toward optimizing the device’s lifecycle, ensuring users can enjoy a smooth and reliable experience for years to come,” says Samsung.

Every smartphone in the lineup is said to have a 5,000mAh battery that’d allow users to keep up with their daily routines. Samsung’s Galaxy A series continues to provide a long-lasting smartphone experience, as is evident in the new models.
