Limestone, a rising Nigerian tech firm, unveiled StoneCircle, a security app, on October 23, 2025. The event took place in Lagos, drawing estate managers, developers, and safety experts.

The app targets personal and community security in a nation facing daily threats. In this article, we explore StoneCircle’s launch event and how it shapes Nigeria’s tech future.

    About StoneCircle

StoneCircle builds on Limestone’s earlier tools like Stone Community for estate payments. The company (Limestone) started in 2023 to fix urban living pains. Now, with this launch, it enters the consumer market fully. Leaders say it blends local needs with smart tech.

Nigeria’s real estate sector stands at $2.61 trillion this year. In this estimate property technology (apps and platforms) drives much of that growth. Yet the housing deficit tops 22 million units. StoneCircle steps in to boost safety and ease in estates.

Think of an app that provides real-time panic alerts, communication circles, and links to security services.

The Buzz at the Lagos Unveiling

The evening kicked off at a sleek venue in Victoria Island. Lights on Heights Holding backed the show. Ifeanyi Aneke, Limestone’s MD, took the stage first as he spoke of Nigeria’s urgent safety gaps. Guests mingled over demos and cocktails.

Product managers like Abigael Temidayo Oluwagbemiro walked them through the app. One developer called it a “game-changer for gated living.” Aneke shared the vision clearly. “StoneCircle connects people to help in real time,” he said.

The crowd cheered as screens lit up with alert simulations. Social media lit up too, with posts praising the fresh approach. The event wrapped with networking. Partners hinted at rollouts in Abuja next.

    Core Features and Early Wins

StoneCircle lets users build “Circles” for quick emergency chats. It’s quite simple:

    • Panic buttons send location alerts in seconds.
    • Video capture shares proof fast.

And the best part is it all runs on a simple mobile interface. For estate folks, it adds payments and access codes.

The app also enables users to perform tasks like buying electricity or logging complaints. It links to Stone Security for 24/7 surveillance. StoneCircle also secures user data in accordance with Nigeria’s NDPA rules.

During the pilot stage, StoneCircle processed over N27 million in transactions with a success rate of 95 percent. In addition, alerts get acknowledged in three seconds on average.

Users reported fewer response delays. One pilot group cut visitor mishaps by half. “These tools ease daily hassles. They build trust in neighborhoods too,” Amaka Ezekwesili, marketing lead, noted the smooth user tests.

    Powering Up Nigeria’s Proptech Wave

StoneCircle taps a hot market. Property tech investments in Africa rose 30 percent last year. And Nigeria leads with urban demand. This app could grab a slice by fixing security holes.

As it empowers residents against common risks like break-ins, estate managers save time on dues and alerts. For developers it is a  selling point for new builds.

However, it is not without challenges. Internet access varies in suburbs. To combat this, Limestone plans offline modes soon. Overall, the launch signals massive potential in Africa. StoneCircle sets a bar for safety apps. It turns fear into control, one alert at a time. Watch for wider adoption in 2026.
