7AI raises $130 million to scale AI for Security Operations Centers

U.S.-based cybersecurity startup 7AI recently closed a $130 million Series A funding round, the largest ever in the cybersecurity space. The Series A was led by Index Ventures, with participation from new Blackstone Innovations Investments alongside existing seed investors including Greylock Partners, CRV, and Spark Capital.

This raise brings 7AI’s total funding to $166 million since its stealth launch in February 2025.

7AI founder and CEO Lior Div, who previously built Cybereason to a $3 billion valuation, calls the massive funding plus what 7AI does the “agentic security inflection point.

The company deploys autonomous AI agents to handle complex and critical non-human security operations tasks that include alert triage, investigations, and incident response. Unlike traditional security operations approaches that rely on expanding teams and detection tools, 7AI’s platform automates investigations using dynamic reasoning capabilities that are adapted to various scenarios while eliminating false positives.

Additionally, 7AI’s platform comprises over 40 specialized agents, with each focusing on different security tasks such as searching for vulnerabilities, malicious activity detection, and technical data collection. These agents integrate with existing breach detection tools and generate natural language descriptions of incidents without requiring centralized data storage.

Since its private launch in February, 7AI’s agents have demonstrated remarkable scale and efficiency including processing 2.5 million alerts and completing over 650,000 security investigations, with investigation times reducing from hours to minutes. 7AI’s agents, in its 10 months of operation, have also recorded a 95-99% reduction in false positives across global deployments.

“There’s a fundamental flaw in how we’ve approached security operations for the past two decades. We keep adding more people and detection tools to handle exponentially increasing threats and alerts. The math just doesn’t work,” Div said. “We’re at an agentic security inflection point that changes the equation entirely. Instead of security teams drowning in investigations that take hours, our AI agents complete them in minutes at a speed, accuracy, and consistency that’s difficult for humans and automation to match.”

Due to the level of services 7AI provides, the company’s customers cut across Fortune 500 enterprises in finance, retail, technology and healthcare sectors, including the famous DXC Technology that deployed the world’s largest agentic security operation in just eight weeks.

In addition to this funding, DXC Technology and 7AI also strategically partnered up to launch the DXC Agentic Security Operations Center that will integrate fully autonomous AI agents into DXC’s end-to-end managed security operations.

This Series A raise, as the largest ever raise in the cybersecurity space, reflects strong investor confidence in 7AI reaching “agentic security inflection point,” which further represents a fundamental shift in how security operations are conducted at scale.

7AI aims to use this funding to expand AI-driven security engineering capabilities and strengthen the company’s go-to-market strategy.
